There is so much fun to be had on a Hen Night that we thought it was worth devoting a full page to ideas! It's a good idea to try and structure your night and organise as much as you can beforehand.
Meet at someone's house for Canapes and Champagne Cocktails (Midori Fizzes are fab!) before going onto some bars, and then a bit of a boogie. Here you can give the bride silly little presents safe in the knowledge she can leave them in the house, rather than lose them when you are out - handcuffs, rude-shaped chocolates, lingerie for the honeymoon, and of course her outfit for the night! Make sure the bride is decked out in something obvious. An-over-the-top veil or perhaps an obnoxiously fake bling-bling on her ring finger.
Have a few games to get everyone in the mood. Here are a few suggestions:
Ice-breaker
If the group are a mixed bunch of friends, then chances are that not everybody knows each other. Give everyone a bingo card and get them to mingle finding 8 different people in the group who fits the description on the bingo card. (if you download the pdf we've already set up a blank bingo card for you) A perfect way of getting people talking to each other. The first person to return the card to you wins a prize.
Find someone who:
Can speak 4 languages
Is already married with children
Can touch their nose with their tongue
Has a tattoo
Has met somebody famous
Has been on TV
Has done a fun run
Has lived with the Bride-to-be
truth or dare
Everyone in the party has to do a Truth or Dare. Failure to participate results in a forfeit!
suggestions are:
Truth
If you could change one physical feature about yourself, what would you change?
What is the worst rumour (true or false) you have ever spread?
What is your most vivid dream?
Tell the person to your left one thing you dislike about their outfit.
Describe the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you.
Dare
You are a Miss World contestant; wow the judges with a short speech about yourself.
Tell everyone the joke that makes you laugh most.
Go outside a nearby window and perform 5 star jumps.
Act out which kind of animal you'd be if you were reincarnated.
Perform a 70's style disco fever dance routine.
How well do you know each other?
Do some pre-party research, and get the groom-to-be to answer 10-20 questions about his future bride, himself and their relationship. On the night, test the bride and ask her the same questions and see if her answers match his. For every one she gets wrong, a forfeit must be given!
Suggestions are:
What shoe size is he?
What was the name of her first pet?
What is his favourite meal?
What would she order in a bar?
What was his first car?
What is her most embarrassing moment?
What would you say is his best feature?
How would you describe her in 3 words?
When did you have your first kiss?
Who said "I love you" first?
What did he wear on your first date?
What did she wear on your first date?
Get all the friends attending the hen do to bring along a picture of themselves and the bride-to-be, so that you can collate an album. Ask everyone to write a message next to their photo - a lovely memento for the bride to cherish.
